Sarah Comerford BSc (Hons), QCG, AdvDip, MBACP
I think one of the best things about my job is; I am able to witness the change people can make in their lives and the courage and strength an individual can summon when given the space and opportunity to do so.
I understand people come to counselling for many different reasons and it can feel daunting. I believe it is an honour within my role as a counsellor to sit alongside you, whilst you share your innermost self.
My work as an integrative therapist means I can work with you using different established counselling and psychotherapy practices. This allows us to adapt the most beneficial aspects of different approaches to tailor the work we do to your individual needs: after all, everyone is different and unique.
I believe relationships are at the heart of what it is to be human. I can work with you to explore the significant relationships in your life, whether that be with family or friends, work colleagues or partners, and most importantly the relationship you have with yourself.
Therapy can be an invitation to escape distractions, pressures and external demands and give you the opportunity and space to explore you and your internal world. My office is situated in open space and nature to allow you to escape the busyness of your life for 50 minutes.
I have worked within education and charities in my previous roles and for several different counselling organisations and charities as a counsellor, including Arc Counselling and No 5 Young People's Counselling Service.
I also work as a clinical supervisor and supervise both qualified and trainee counsellors in groups and individually within my private practice as well as providing supervision to counsellors at No 5. Find out more about how I can support you and your counselling practice here.
